Game Night

GAME NIGHT

I’m a wee bit competitive to say the least. I come from a long line of “board game flipper over’ers” if things weren’t going their way, if you catch my drift. What’s that? I landed on Boardwalk & John John has that AND Park Place + 27 houses & hotels on it? I owe him 10k & need to turn all my property face down in shame, mortgage my entire monopoly life & borrow from the bank…oops…I “accidentally” flipped the board & it went flying in the air like I’m a professional pizza maker. Weird. I don’t even know how that happened… 😉 Growing up with 5 siblings meant there was always a “cheater” in the crowd. I’d say my brother John John & sister Debbie were the worst by far! They’d stop at nothing to win at everything. But we always had fun! Family game night would consist of Scrabble, Monopoly, Clue, Pictionary, Darts, Cards & playing pool to name a few. I still carry on the “Game Night” tradition today & along with Backyard Movie Night…this is one of our favorite things to do!

As all my dolls know…I love to entertain. I want to share with you some fun ideas on how to host your own game night. I’ve come a long way from flipping the board & serving up sour patch kids…not really hehe 😉 to serving up some super fun, creative & easy recipes that will wow your guests. Mix in some party decor ideas & you have yourselves an unforgettable GAME NIGHT! Check it out!

Putting Mama Dahl’s Christmas present to use…A personalized “Dahlicious” cutting board…mini chicken pesto sandwiches “checkers” style!

Scrabble Cheez Its! These little treats were a hit and makes an awesome alternative to chips! (Decor Tip: Spell out place settings with these or put initials on plates where you want people to sit)

Edible TIC TAC TOE game! Use an X letter cut out to make the cheese X’s & pieces of peppered salami to make the O’s. Mustard makes a perfect hashtag separator…and it’s excellent for dipping!

Nanci Dahl
About me

Welcome Dahlings, I’m so happy you’ve taken the time to drop by my circus. I started this blog because I hope to inspire my fellow dahls with tips on how to be happy, healthy & fabulous! There will be fashion, beauty & travel tips from years in the entertainment industry. Everything from planning a party to trying to get pregnant…you’ll find it right here! We’ll talk about my “letter to God” to find my soul-mate, getting married in just 6 months, moving across the country from Nashville, Tennessee to Orange County, California and combining our country-coastal lifestyles together. I come from a big Italian family so there will be food & lots of it! I’ll share my Dahlicious recipes I learned how to make while being a contestant on MasterChef…and some family recipes that I will most likely be disowned for sharing ;) Please leave me any questions, comments or concerns…I really appreciate all your sweet support! I’m looking forward to getting to know all my dahls & making some new friends!
