With the NFL kick off less than a week away of course we’re gonna talk football! Ok so most of you know I love my football! I’m a die hard fantasy football junkie! I grew up a die hard Miami Dolphin fan being raised in south Florida & having 2 brothers to shove it in my face 😉 but when I started playing fanatsy…I have become a fan of so many teams. Having played the game since 2006 (yes, I’m dating myself I know…but since I’ve already spilled my age in a beauty post so I have nothing to hide!) I can give you some solid advice on the sport. When I started playing, before the computer craze, ballers like us haha had to check the scores on Tuesday morning in the newspaper to see who won for crying in my conscience. It was like that. Wednesday…we’d CALL in our starters, to a landline, get an answering machine, leave an old fashion message about who we were starting, who we wanted to pick up & if more than one person wanted to pick up the same player…there was a bid war for that free agent.

Even though I’ll never forget how fun live drafts were, knowing everyone in your league, getting excited when the morning paper came to see the stats haha… needless to say…fantasy football is way easier to play now.

More woman are playing too…and you’d be surprised how much the get into it. Woman can be super competitive 😉 I’ve been the commissioner of my an all girls fantasy football league called The Pigskin Pussycats and the name served us right. Competitive cats hehe It was super fun. So these tips are for you ladies… and guys, on this seasons fantasy drafts.

If you get 1^st pick of the draft, some people may be tempted to take a QB but my advice is…always pick a running back first unless you have the chance to get Andrew Luck…then I’d say go for it because he will have BIG numbers this year, watch your bye weeks, research your rookies, pay attention to player injuries & suspensions. Pick a Defense & Kicker after you have all your starters.
